Gola's Biography

With over 30 years of experience in wellness and fitness, I have dedicated my career to empowering others on their personal journeys toward health. During my service in the U.S. Air Force, I held the position of Fitness Director at Falcon AFB, where I managed the ergonomics program and supported readiness through comprehensive testing. My passion for movement as a form of medicine has guided both my professional and personal development.

Following a serious car accident in 2002 that resulted in spinal injuries, I discovered Pilates, which significantly enhanced my quality of life and overall well-being. Inspired by these results, I pursued comprehensive certification as a Pilates instructor, comprehensive training with Balanced Body and completing the Polestar Pilates bridge program, drawn by its rehabilitative focus. I was also fortunate to mentor under Jennifer Kries for a year, deepening my understanding of classical Pilates methodology.

In 2013, I established my own studio in St. John’s, Florida, and in 2019, I developed a 550-hour Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program. As an ACE continuing education provider, I am committed to advancing standards in the field. In 2024, I relocated to Arcata, California, ready for new opportunities, though opening a studio was temporarily delayed due to a bicycling accident involving significant shoulder injury. Now, five months post-operative and following extensive rehabilitation through physical therapy and Pilates, I am excited to open a new studio and share my expertise and passion for movement. Additionally, I am an E-RYT Yoga Instructor, Gold Inside Flow Instructor, and certified Health & Wellness Coach.
